The PCM cycles the boost solenoid PWM ON and OFF. The ON time, or duty cycle, of the solenoid valve is expressed as a percent. The Boost pulse-width-modulated solenoid meters the vacuum level at the wastegate valve actuator as commanded by the PCM.
