Hood Latch Release: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the following components from the instrument panel:
1.1. The 3 screws (2)
1.2. The IP steering column opening trim plate (1)




2. Remove the screw (2) which secures the hood latch release handle (1).
3. Remove the hood latch release cable from the hood latch release handle (1).
4. Remove the hood latch release handle (1) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the hood latch release cable to the hood latch release handle (1).
2. Install the hood latch release handle (1) to the vehicle. Secure the handle with the screw (2).




3. Install the IP steering column opening trim plate (1) to the instrument panel. Secure the trim plate with the 3 screws (2).
