Removal Procedure

Removal Procedure
1. Disable the SIR. Refer to Disabling the SIR System.
2. Remove the steering wheel from the steering column.
3. Remove the Instrument Panel (IP) steering column opening trim plate.
4. Remove the 3 screws from the steering column lower cover (2).
5. Separate the upper cover and the lower cover, then remove them.
6. Disconnect all connectors for the Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil and combination switch assembly.
7. Remove the Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil and combination switch assembly.
