Canister Purge Control Valve: Service and Repair

[1][2]EVAP Tank Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Replace

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the two vacuum hoses (1) from the evaporative emission ([1][2]EVAP) tank pressure control solenoid valve (5).
2. Disconnect the [1][2]EVAP tank pressure control solenoid valve electrical connector (6).
3. Remove the [1][2]EVAP tank pressure control solenoid valve mounting bracket nut (2).
4. Remove the [1][2]EVAP tank pressure control solenoid valve (5) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the [1][2]EVAP tank pressure control solenoid valve (5) to the vehicle with the one nut (2).

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

2. Connect the [1][2]EVAP tank pressure control solenoid valve electrical connector (6).
3. Connect the two vacuum hoses (1) to the [1][2]EVAP tank pressure control solenoid valve (5).
