Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement (Cooling Fan)

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the cooling fan drive belt.





3. Remove the 2 tensioner mounting bolts (1, 3).
4. Remove the tensioner.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the tensioner. Secure with the two bolts (1, 3).
Tighten the bolts to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.).
2. Install and adjust the cooling fan drive belt.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
Tighten the bolt to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
