1. External Component Disassemble

1. Use a solvent and stiff brush to clean the exterior of the transfer case.
2. Remove the following components from the front output shaft:
^ The front output yoke nut
^ The washer
^ The rubber sealing washer
^ The front output yoke
3. Remove the four-wheel drive actuator switch and the O-ring seal.





4. Remove the vehicle speed sensor and the O-ring seal.





5. Remove the following components:
^ The detent plug
^ The O-ring seal
^ The detent spring
^ The detent plunger
