AIR Solenoid Valve Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the steering linkage shield.
4. Disconnect the solenoid vacuum hoses.




5. Disconnect the solenoid electrical connector.




6. Remove the retaining screw from the bracket.




7. Remove the solenoid.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Align the new solenoid bracket hole with hole in the AIR pump bracket.
2. Install the retainer screw (1).




3. Connect the solenoid electrical connector.




4. Connect the solenoid vacuum hoses.
5. Install the steering linkage shield.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
