HVAC System - Manual




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the air inlet duct.
3. Remove the PCV hose from the air cleaner.
4. Remove the [1][2]air inlet assembly.
5. Remove the upper radiator hose.
6. Remove the upper fan shroud.
7. Remove the lower radiator hose.
8. Position the lower fan shroud to one side to allow removal of radiator.
9. Remove the radiator.
10. Remove the compressor and condenser hose assembly from the condenser.
11. Remove the evaporator tube from the condenser.
12. Remove the insulator retainer bolts and the upper insulator retainers.
13. Remove the condenser.
14. Recover the refrigerant from the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging. Service and Repair

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the condenser.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the upper insulator retainers and the insulator retainer bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 2.4 N.m (21 lb in).

3. Install the evaporator tube to the condenser.
4. Install the compressor and condenser hose assembly to the condenser.
5. Install the radiator.
6. Install the lower radiator hose.
7. Install the upper fan shroud.
8. Install the upper radiator hose.
9. Install the [1][2]air inlet assembly.
10. Connect the PCV hose to the air cleaner.
11. Connect the electrical connector to the air inlet duct.
12. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
13. Add refrigerant to the system.
14. Inspect the system for leaks.
