Brake Hose Replacement - Front (Dual Piston Caliper)

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.





2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Clean the hose fittings at both ends. Remove all dirt, grease, and other foreign material.
4. Disconnect the brake pipe fitting.
5. Remove the brake pipe retainer.
6. Remove the front flex hose support clip nut and bolt.





7. Remove the ABS sensor wire bracket bolt.





8. Remove the bolt and the gaskets.
9. Remove the front flex hose.

Installation Procedure

Important: After installation, ensure that the front flex hose is not twisted and that the front flex hose does not contact any of the other components.





1. Install the front flex hose.
2. Install new brass gaskets.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the front flex hose to caliper bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).





4. Install the ABS sensor wire bracket bolt.
Tighten the bolt to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).





5. Install the front flex hose support clip bolt and the nut.
Tighten the nut to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the brake pipe retainer.
7. Connect the brake pipe fitting.
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
8. Bleed the brakes.
9. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
10. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle.
