Seat Cushion Trim Cover and Pad Replacement (Bucket)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the seat from the vehicle.




2. Remove the trim plate.




3. Separate the J-strips from the seat bottom frame.






Important: Do not damage the seat fabric when removing the velcro retaining cover.

4. Separate the velcro strips (1) that retain the seat pad (3) to the seat cover (2).
5. Disconnect the electrical connections, as needed.
6. Remove the seat back release lever, if equipped.
7. Remove the manual recliner (manual lumbar knob) lever, if equipped.
8. Remove the power lumbar control switch, if equipped.
9. Remove the power seat control switch, if equipped.
10. Remove the seat back from the seat bottom bolts.




11. Remove the seat belt buckle bolt.
12. Remove the seat belt buckle from the seat.
13. Remove the seat bottom cover.
14. Remove the seat bottom pad.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the seat bottom pad to the seat bottom.
2. Install the seat bottom cover over the pad.




3. Engage the velcro strips (1) that retain the seat pad (3) to the seat cover (2).
4. Install the seat belt buckle through the slot in the seat.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the seat belt holder bolt.

Tighten the seat belt buckle bolt to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

6. Install the seat back to seat bottom bolts.
7. Install the power seat control switch, if equipped.
8. Install the seat back release lever, if equipped.
9. Install the power lumbar switch, if equipped.
10. Install the manual recliner (manual lumbar knob) lever, if equipped.
11. Connect the electrical connections, as needed.




12. Engage the J-strips to the seat bottom frame.




13. Install the trim plate.
14. Install the seat to the vehicle.
