Headlining Trim Panel Replacement (Extended Cab Pickup)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the dome lamp.
2. Remove the coat hooks.
3. Remove the passenger assist handle.
4. Remove the sunshades and the retainers.
5. Remove the windshield garnish moldings.
6. Remove the side door upper latch cover (if equipped).
7. Remove the left and right front seat upper seat belt anchor bolts.
8. Pull the body side trim panels loose at the roof line.
9. Place the seats in the full rearward and reclined position.
10. Remove the floor mounted gearshift lever (if equipped).
11. Remove the full length floor mounted console (if equipped).
12. Use the following steps in order to remove the headliner from the vehicle:
1. Grasp the headliner at the front.
2. Use a downward motion in order to disengage the hook and the loop fasteners at the rear.
3. Slide the headliner foreword, past the body side trim panels, rotate it 90 degrees and remove the headliner from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the headliner to the vehicle. Pierce new headliners in order to accommodate actual vehicle accessories.
2. Secure the body side trim panels at the roof line.
3. Install the the full length floor mounted console (if equipped).
4. Install the the floor mounted gearshift lever (if equipped).
5. Restore the seats to their original positions.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
6. Install the left and right front seat upper seat belt anchor bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).
7. Install the windshield garnish moldings.
8. Install the sunshades and the retainers.
9. Install the rear side door upper latch cover (if equipped).
10. Install the passenger assist handle.
11. Install the coat hooks.
12. Install the dome lamp.
