Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement (Left)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) gauge sensor.





3. Remove the PCV valve and hose assembly from the valve rocker arm cover and the intake manifold.
4. Remove the spark plug wires for the left side of the engine from the distributor cap.
5. Remove the rear spark plug wire harness retainer from the EGR valve inlet pipe bracket.





6. Remove the valve rocker arm cover.
7. Clean all sealing surfaces.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the valve rocker arm cover and bolts.





2. Install the PCV valve and hose assembly in the valve rocker arm cover and to the intake manifold.
3. Connect the spark plug wires to the distributor cap.
4. Install the rear spark plug wire harness retainer to the EGR valve inlet pipe bracket.
5. Connect the ECT gauge sensor.
6. Install the engine cover.
