Wastegate Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cables.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the harness connector from the wastegate solenoid by releasing the locking tab.
4. Disconnect the vacuum hoses.




5. Remove the solenoid mounting bolt.




6. Remove the wastegate solenoid.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the wastegate solenoid.




2. Install the wastegate solenoid mounting bolt.




3. Install the vacuum hoses.
4. Install the harness electrical connector.
5. Connect the negative battery cables.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that the PCM electrical harness is properly routed to avoid contact with the engine cover during installation.

6. Install the engine cover.
