Idler Pulley: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the fan shroud from the radiator.
2. Remove the drive belt from the pulleys.





3. Remove the air conditioning idler pulley from the accessory bracket (non A/C only).





4. Remove the drive belt idler pulley and bolt.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the drive belt idler pulley to the accessory bracket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

^ Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).





2. Install the A/C idler pulley to the accessory bracket (non a/c only).
^ Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the drive belt on the pulleys.
4. Install the fan shroud to the radiator.
