Battery Cable Replacement (Battery Cable Aux Positive)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the auxiliary battery.
3. Disconnect the positive battery cable from the junction block.




4. Remove the positive battery cable retainers from the frame.
5. Disconnect the positive battery cable from the auxiliary battery.
6. Remove the positive battery cable from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the positive battery cable to the vehicle.
2. Connect the positive belfry cable to the auxiliary battery.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Tighten
Tighten the auxiliary positive battery cable to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

3. Install the positive battery cable retainers to the frame.




4. Connect the positive battery cable to the junction block.

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

5. Connect the negative battery cable to the auxiliary battery.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

6. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
