Battery Cable Replacement (Battery Cable Aux Negative)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the auxiliary battery.
2. Disconnect the negative ground leads from the frame.
3. Remove the negative battery cable from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the negative battery cable to the vehicle.
2. Connect the negative ground leads to the frame.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Tighten
Tighten the negative ground leads to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Connect the negative battery cable to the auxiliary battery.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
