Canister Purge Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect the purge solenoid electrical connector.




2. Remove the purge solenoid retaining nuts.




3. Remove the purge solenoid from the intake manifold.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the purge solenoid to the intake manifold.




2. Install the purge solenoid retaining nuts.




3. Connect the purge solenoid electrical connector.
4. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
