Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands.





2. Loosen the rear clamp from the muffler.
3. Remove the hanger from the exhaust system as required.





4. Remove the tailpipe from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the tailpipe to the vehicle.
2. Install the hanger to the exhaust system as required.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





3. Install the clamp.
^ Tighten the clamp to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
4. Remove the safety stands.
5. Lower the vehicle.
