Engine Mount: Service and Repair
Removal ProcedureNotice: Refer to Engine Mounts Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Cable Replacement (Battery Disconnect/Connect) in Starting and Charging.
2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lift Points.
3. Remove the engine mount through-bolt and nut for the side being replaced.
Notice: When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack under the oil pan, any sheet metal, or the crankshaft pulley. Lifting the engine in an unapproved manner may cause component damage.
4. Raise and support the engine enough to remove the mount.
5. Remove the bolts for the frame side mount.
6. Remove the frame side mount.
7. Remove the bolts for the engine side mount.
8. Remove the engine side mount and the shield.
Installation Procedure
1. Sub-assemble the mount, shield, and one bolt.
2. Install the mount and shield to the engine.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the remaining bolts.
- Tighten the bolts to 59 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the mount to the frame.
5. Install the bolts.
- Tighten the bolts to 59 Nm (44 ft. lbs.).
6. Lower the engine.
7. Install the through-bolt and nut.
- Tighten the bolts to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Connect the battery negative cable.
