Heater Pipe Repair - Auxiliary
REMOVAL PROCEDUREYou cannot service the auxiliary heater pipes as a complete unit. You can only section repair the pipes. Follow the steps provided in the auxiliary heater pipes procedure.
Section 3 Heater Pipe Sectioning:
1. Raise and Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
3. Disconnect the front left side, and the rear heater pipe connections.
Section 2 Heater Pipe Sectioning:
4. Remove the heater pipe retainers from the vehicle body.
5. Using a tubing cutter, or an equivalent tool, cut the heater pipes into sections in order to remove the pipes from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Section 3 Heater Pipe Sectioning:
1. Connect the first section of the heater pipes to the auxiliary heater.
2. Connect the second section of the heater pipes. Join the connectors to the first section heater pipes.
3. Connect the third section of the heater pipes. Join the connectors to the second section heater pipes.
4. Connect the front left side and the rear heater pipe connections.
5. Install the heater pipe retainers to the vehicle body.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
8. Verify that there are no coolant leaks.
