Heater Hoses Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURETOOLS REQUIRED
J 39529 Heater Hose Pliers
1. Partially drain the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
2. Remove the air cleaner, if necessary.
3. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir or the surge tank.
4. Remove the hose clamps using the J 39529.
5. Remove the hose support clamps, the brackets, or the retainers as necessary.
6. Remove the heater hose from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
TOOLS REQUIRED
J 39529 Heater Hose Pliers
1. Connect the heater hose to the vehicle.
2. Install the hose support clamps, the brackets, or the retainers as necessary.
3. Install the hose clamps using the J 39529.
4. Install the coolant recovery reservoir or the surge tank.
5. Install the air cleaner, if necessary.
6. Fill the engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
7. Verify that the system has no leaks.
