Traffic Announcement Volume

The traffic announcement volume is always equal to or greater than the current volume. This ensures that you hear the traffic messages even when the radio is at low volume settings. The traffic announcement volume feature allows the diver to turn the volume to a minimum and hear only the traffic messages. The traffic announcement volume is adjustable. The traffic announcement volume is set by pressing and holding the TP button for 2 seconds. Turn the VOLUME knob in order to increase or decrease the volume for the traffic announcements. When you hold the TP button for 2 or more seconds, the radio display will show SET TRAF VOLUME. Rotating the volume know changes the TP volume. The user hears the volume change. The bottom line of the radio display shows the volume by the number of blocks that are showing. The top line of the radio display continues to show SET TRAF. After 5 seconds of inactivity, the display times-out. The display returns to Program Service Name (PS) and Time Of Day (TOD). The PS and TOD icons will appear in the radio display.
