Park Brake Warning Lamp Switch Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the negative battery cable.

CAUTION: Before removing or installing any electrical unit or when a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with "live" exposed electrical terminals, disconnect the negative battery cable to help prevent personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or components. Unless instructed otherwise, the ignition switch must be in the "OFF" or "LOCK" position.

2. Remove the left kick panel. Refer to Instrument Panel and Gauges.
3. Remove the electrical connector.
4. Remove the retainer from the switch.
5. Remove the parking brake indicator switch from the vehicle.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Connect the parking brake indicator switch to the vehicle.
2. Connect the retainer to the switch.
^ Tighten the retaining screw to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the electrical connector.
4. Install the left kick panel. Refer to Instrument Panel and Gauges.

5. Install the negative battery cable.
