Direct Clutch & Intermediate Overrun Roller Clutch

1. Remove direct clutch retaining ring, pressure plate and clutch pack.





2. Compress direct clutch piston return spring seat and remove retaining ring, return springs, piston and seals.





3. After replacing seals, install direct clutch piston into housing with the aid of a piece of .020 inch wire crimping into copper tubing.








4. Remove retaining ring, pressure plate and clutch pack. Clearance between top faced plate and pressure plate should be .010-.080 inches with retaining ring in place.
