Liftgate Adjustment




1. Open and support the liftgate.
2. Loosen the hinge to liftgate bolts using a short TORX bit and a ratchet wrench.
3. Loosen the striker. Refer to Liftgate Latch Striker Replacement .
4. Reposition the liftgate within the liftgate opening to achieve the best alignment and operation. Refer to Clearance and Flushness Specifications (Volt) .
5. Adjust the striker to achieve the best operation and alignment of the liftgate.
6. Inspect the seals for proper engagement.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

7. Tighten the bolts when the proper adjustment is achieved. Tighten the liftgate hinge bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
