Removal Procedure

1. Remove the inflatable restraint instrument panel module. Refer to Instrument Panel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement (Instrument Panel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement).
2. Pull the rear edge of the trim cover (1) downward until the openings in the cover clear the 4 tips of the metal hooks.

3. Flex the rear bottom edge of the trim cover (1) rearward to clear the 4 hooks, and pivot the trim cover upward.

4. Pivot the trim cover (1) far enough so the cover can be disengaged from the 5 hooks at the forward side.

Installation Procedure

Note: Ensure no debris or contamination is inside the housing and airbag cushion pack.

1. Position the trim cover (1) over the 5 hooks on the forward side of the module.

2. Pivot the trim cover (1) over the module and slide down over the 4 hooks on the rear edge. Push the rear edge down far enough for the windows to clear the 4 hooks.
