Air Inlet Valve Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the fuse labeled HVAC CTRL (BATT).
2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement (Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement).




3. Disconnect the recirculation actuator electrical connector.




4. Remove the recirculation actuator screw.
5. Remove the recirculation actuator.

Installation Procedure





Note: The key should be in the OFF position when connecting the electrical connectors to ensure proper calibration.

1. Install the recirculation actuator.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the recirculation actuator screw.

Tighten the screw to 2.2 Nm (19 lb in).




3. Install the recirculation electrical connector.
4. Install the I/P retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement (Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement).
5. Install the fuse labeled HVAC CTRL (BATT).

Note: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control assembly while the HVAC control assembly and actuators are calibrating. If interrupted improper HVAC performance will result.

6. Start the engine and let run for one minute.
