Cylinder head boltsUse NEW cylinder head bolts
Tighten 30 Nm (22 lb ft) plus an additional 155 degrees
Front cylinder head bolts 35 Nm (26 lb ft)
Deck Straightness - in 150 mm (5.91 in) 0.05 mm (0.0019 in)
Deck Straightness - in 25 mm (0.985 in) 0.025 mm (0.0009 in)
Surface Flatness - Block Deck - Longitude 0.050 mm (0.002 in)
Surface Flatness - Block Deck - Overall 0.1 mm (0.004 in)
Surface Flatness - Block Deck - Transverse 0.030 mm (0.0012 in)
Intake manifold
Tighten the bolts (2) 25 Nm (18 lb ft)
Tighten the nuts (1) 20 Nm (15 lb ft)
Intake Camshaft
Tighten the camshaft cap bolts in increments of 3 turns until they are seated.
Tighten 10 Nm (89 lb in)
Number 6 intake camshaft rear cap
Tighten the cap bolts evenly
First pass 5 Nm (44 lb in).
Second pass 10 Nm (89 lb in).
Back off the cap bolts 120 degrees.
Final pass 10 Nm (89 lb in)
Exhaust Camshaft
Tighten the bearing cap bolts in increments of 3 turns until they are seated
Tighten 10 Nm (89 lb in)
Camshaft Position Actuator
Tighten 30 Nm (22 lb ft) plus an additional 100 degrees
Exhaust manifold 14 Nm (124 in lb)
