Front Suspension




Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair.
3. Lower the crossmember slightly in order to access the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts. Refer to Front Suspension Crossmember Replacement Front Suspension.




4. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp bolts.
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator clamp.
6. Remove the insulator.
7. Clean the stabilizer shaft.

Installation Procedure





Important: There must be no grease or dirt on the stabilizer shaft. Verify the stabilizer shaft is clean.


1. Install the insulator to the stabilizer shaft.
2. Install the clamp to the insulator.

Important: Do not tighten the bolts yet.


3. Install the stabilizer shaft clamp bolts.
4. Raise and install the crossmember. Refer to Front Suspension Crossmember Replacement Front Suspension.
5. Raise and support the front lower control arms with jacks.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

6. Tighten the stabilizer shaft clamp bolts.

Tighten the stabilizer shaft clamp bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

7. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation Service and Repair.
8. Remove the jacks.
9. Lower the vehicle.
