Inflatable Restraint Instrument Panel Module Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Sensing and Diagnostic Module Voltage after Ignition is Turned Off Caution Sensing and Diagnostic Module Voltage after Ignition is Turned Off Caution.

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the glove box. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement.
3. Disconnect the passenger air bag yellow electrical connector.
4. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) module by removing the mounting bolts from the air bag bracket.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the I/P module to the I/P.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

2. Install the I/P module mounting bolts.

Tighten the I/P module mounting bolts to 11 Nm (97 lb in).

3. Connect the passenger air bag yellow electrical connector.
4. Install the glove box. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
