Evaporative Emissions Hose: Service and Repair




Evaporative Emission System Hoses/Pipes Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister front hose from the EVAP emission purge solenoid valve.




3. Disconnect the EVAP emission canister front hose from the EVAP emission canister pipe.




4. Disconnect the EVAP emission canister pipe from the EVAP emission canister rear hose.




5. Remove the EVAP canister pipe retaining bolts.
6. Remove the EVAP canister pipe.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the EVAP canister pipe to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

2. Install the EVAP canister pipe retaining bolts.

Tighten the EVAP canister pipe retaining bolts to 10 Nm (7 lb ft).




3. Connect the EVAP emission canister pipe to the EVAP emission canister rear hose.




4. Connect the EVAP emission canister front hose to the EVAP emission canister pipe.




5. Connect the EVAP canister front hose to the EVAP emission purge solenoid valve.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
