High Mounted Stop Lamp Replacement (Wagon)

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Open the liftgate.
3. Remove the liftgate trim cover screws.
4. Remove the liftgate trim cover.
5. Remove the liftgate lower garnish molding. Refer to Liftgate Lower Garnish Molding Replacement (Sedan) .




6. Disconnect the electrical connector.
7. Remove the rear wiper motor. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement (Five Door) Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement (Five Door)Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement (Wagon) Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement (Wagon).
8. Remove the license plate lamps bracket bolts and the nuts.
9. Remove the license plate lamps bracket.
10. Remove the station wagon door latch rod.




11. Remove the center high mounted stop lamp nuts.
12. Remove the center high mounted stop lamp.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the center high mounted stop lamp.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

2. Install the center high mounted stop lamp nuts.

Tighten the center high mounted stop lamp nuts to 4 Nm (35 lb in).




3. Install the license plate lamps bracket.
4. Install the license plate lamps bracket bolts and nuts.
5. Install the station wagon latch rod.
6. Install the rear wiper motor. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement (Five Door) Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement (Five Door)Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement (Wagon) Rear Window Wiper Motor Replacement (Wagon).
7. Connect the electrical connector.




8. Install the liftgate lower garnish molding. Refer to Liftgate Lower Garnish Molding Replacement (Sedan) .
9. Install the liftgate trim cover.
10. Install the liftgate trim cover screws.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
