HVAC Control Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the center molding assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Five Door/Wagon) Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Five Door/Wagon)Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Four Door) Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Four Door).
3. Pull out the unit to gain access to the rear.




4. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Remove the center molding assembly from the instrument panel.




6. Remove the control assembly retaining screws.
7. Remove the automatic temperature control assembly.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

1. Position the automatic temperature control assembly on the center molding and install the retaining screws.

Tighten the control assembly retaining screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

2. Connect the electrical connectors.
3. Install the center molding assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Five Door/Wagon) Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Five Door/Wagon)Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Four Door) Instrument Panel Center Trim Panel Replacement (Four Door).
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
