Subject: Sloshing Noise While Driving or Water Inside Rocker Panels (Drain Rocker Panels and Seal Rocker Panel Seams)

2004-2007 Chevrolet Optra (Canada Only)

Condition
Some customers may comment on a sloshing noise while driving or on water inside the rocker panels.

Cause
This condition may be caused by water intrusion through the rocker panel seams.

Correction





1. Drain water by removing the rocker panel drain plug (1) and allow water to drain from the rocker panels. Perform this operation on both sides.





2. Seal the rocker panel-to-wheelhouse seams (2) with medium body seam sealer, P/N 10952233. Perform this operation on both sides.
