DTC C0550

Circuit Description

TPMS Receiver Module receives the vehicle speed signal from the transmission control module (TCM) and also receives the information of the tire inflation pressure from the transmitters and the transmitter's condition. With these information, the TPMS decides that the warning lamp indication is needed or not.

DTC Descriptor

This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:

DTC C0550 Input Failure Of Vehicle Speed

Conditions for Running the DTC

Vehicle speed is above 32 km/h (20 mph).

Conditions for Setting the DTC

* TCM inoperative
* Wiring harness damage between TPMS receiver module and TCM

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

TPMS warning lamp blinks for 75 seconds.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

The conditions that set the DTC are no longer present, the DTC can be cleared by scan tool.
