Inflatable Restraint Instrument Panel Module Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to SDM Voltage After Ignition Is Turned OFF Caution SDM Voltage After Ignition Is Turned OFF Caution.

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the glove box. Refer to Storage Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Service and Repair.
3. Disconnect the passenger air bag yellow electrical connector.
4. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) module by removing the mounting bolts from the air bag bracket.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the I/P module to the I/P.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice.

2. Install the I/P module mounting bolts.

Tighten the I/P module mounting bolts to 11 Nm (97 lb in).

3. Connect the passenger air bag yellow electrical connector.
4. Install the glove box. Refer to Storage Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Service and Repair.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
