Radio Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the center molding. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center (Four Door) Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center (Four Door)Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center (Five Door/Wagon) Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center (Five Door/Wagon) in Instrument Panel, gages and Console.
3. Remove the screws and the audio system.
4. Disconnect the audio system electrical connectors.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the audio system electrical connectors.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the audio system with the screws.

Tighten the screws to 4 Nm (35 lb in).

3. Install the center molding. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center (Four Door) Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center (Four Door)Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center (Five Door/Wagon) Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Center (Five Door/Wagon) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Enter the audio security system 4-digit code. Refer to Radio/Audio System Description and Operation Description and Operation.
