DTC B3100

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
This is a variable indicating the state of the remote function actuator (RFA) FOB. This information is transmitted by the RFA-X module to the body control module (BCM). The BCM shall generate GMLAN messages in response to received X-LINK messages only as required to support distributed functionality for Entry Control, Security Feedback, etc. within the vehicle.

DTC DESCRIPTOR




This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC B3001 X Link Programming/Diagnostic mode acknowledge message not received.

CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
The RFA Enabled and power mode are equal to Off, Acc, Run, or Crank.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
All of the following conditions exist for more than 1 second.

3100 01
The RFA input is inactive high, while the BCM is asserting the RFA Link output low during a transmission on the RFA Link output.

3100 02
The RFA Link input is active low for more than 1 second.

3100 73
The BCM receives a message that has a parity error.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The RFA system is inoperative.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE MIL/DTC
- A current DTC will clear when the fault is no longer present and the ignition switch is cycled.
- A history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles without a fault present.
- A scan tool may be used to clear history and current DTCs.
