Electrical - Discharged Battery/No Start Condition

Subject: No Start Condition/Discharged Battery (Replace Dome Lamp)

Built Within VIN Breakpoint Range 5K066850 - 5K091840

Condition
Some customers may comment that their vehicle will not start. Technicians may find that the battery has discharged for no apparent reason.

Cause
This condition may be caused by a drain current that has exceeded the designed specifications.

Correction
Replace the dome lamp assembly. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement (Document ID# 1377652) in SI.


After installing the new dome lamp, charge the battery. You will also need to adjust the clock and enter the audio security system 4-digit code.
