Wheel Drive Shaft Heat Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.





2. Remove the wheel drive shaft heat shield-to-transmission mount bracket bolt.
3. Remove the drive shaft heat shield-to-engine block bolt.
4. Remove the wheel drive shaft heat shield.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the wheel drive shaft heat shield into position on the vehicle.

2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the wheel drive shaft heat shield-to-engine block bolt.
^ Tighten the bolt to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the wheel drive shaft heat shield-to-transmission mount bracket bolt.
^ Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
4. Lower the vehicle.
