Transmission Rear Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution Safety Glasses Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Remove the valve body assembly. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement Service and Repair.
2. Pull out the sealing sleeve (Brake C) using a nail.
3. Turn the transaxle by 90 degrees.




4. Remove the rear cover bolts.
5. Loosen the cover by tapping firmly on the side of the cover.
6. Remove the cover.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the rear cover.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the rear cover bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).




3. Turn the transaxle by 90 degrees.
4. Install the sealing sleeve (Brake C).
5. Install the valve body assembly. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement Service and Repair.
