Floor Panel Carpet Replacement

Removal Procedure





Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement Service and Repair in Seats.
3. Remove the left and the right rear rocker trim panels. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement.
4. Remove the bolts and the left and the right lower front seat belt anchors from the center pillar.




5. Remove the left and the right front rocker trim panels.
6. Remove the left and the right lower center pillar trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement.
7. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
8. Remove the left and the right kick panels. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement.
9. Remove the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement Service and Repair in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
10. Remove the gearshift housing bolts and nuts and reposition the gearshift housing.
11. Remove the floor carpet.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the floor carpet.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the gearshift housing with the bolts.

Tighten the gearshift housing bolts and nuts to 8 Nm (70 lb in).




3. Install the floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement Service and Repair in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
4. Install the left and the right kick panels. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement.
5. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket Front Seat Replacement - Bucket in Seats.
6. Install the left and the right lower center pillar trim panels. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement.
7. Install the left and the right front rocker trim panels.
8. Install the left and the right lower front seat belt anchors to the center pillar with the bolts.

Tighten the seat belt anchor bolts to 38 Nm (28 lb ft).

9. Install the left and the right rear rocker trim panels. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement Rear Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement.
10. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement Service and Repair in Seats.
11. Connect the negative battery cable.
