Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

Fig. 7 Tension rod & stabilizer bar replacement:

1. Raise and support front of vehicle.
2. Remove 4 stabilizer bar bracket and insulator attaching nuts and bolts, then the stabilizer bar, Fig. 7.

Fig. 8 Stabilizer bar insulator alignment:

3. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Align stabilizer bar front side insulator as shown, Fig. 8.
b. Torque stabilizer bar attaching bolts to 6 ft. lbs.
