These Stromberg carburetors, Figs. 1 and 2, are downdraft fuel and air metering devices having two stages of operation. The primary side has a relatively small bore, double venturis and a bridge nozzle. Primary fuel metering is accomplished with a duty solenoid (mixture control solenoid).
The secondary side of the carburetors have one large bore and a secondary main metering system which supplies fuel to the engine during heavy load conditions.
