"D" Range Test 1

1. Road test vehicle to bring transaxle to normal operating temperature, then place vehicle on dynamometer.
2. Place selector lever in "D" range, then with throttle valve at 50% and 100% openings, check that 1-2 and 2-3 up- shifts take place and that shift points occur at points indicated in chart.
3. If no 1-2 upshift occurs, a defective governor valve or a stuck 1-2 shift valve is indicated.
4. If no 2-3 upshift occurs, a defective 2-3 shift valve is indicated.
5. If shift point is incorrect, a misadjusted throttle cable or defective throttle valve, 1-2 shift valve or 2-3 shift valve is indicated.
