Diagnostic Notes

Automatic transaxle malfunctions can either be caused by the engine or the transaxle itself. These two areas should be isolated, prior to transaxle testing.

Troubleshooting should begin with the simplest operation, then increase in order of difficulty. First ensure the trouble lies within the transaxle, then check oil level, throttle cable adjustment, shift cable, neutral start switch, idle speed and tire inflation pressure.
