UPPER VALVE BODYDisassembly
1. Remove throttle valve retainer, six check balls and two strainers.
2. Remove primary regulator valve, noting which step from end of plunger sleeve contacts body.
3. Press in valve sleeve, then remove pin, using a suitable magnetic tool. Remove valve sleeve, primary regulator valve, valve plunger, plunger sleeve, shim and spring.
4. Remove lock-up relay, valve pin, then the valve sleeve, lock-up relay valve, spring and release valve.

6. Remove throttle valve retaining pin, then the valve sleeve, kick-down valve, throttle valve and spring. Remove spring and adjusting shims from upper side of upper valve body. Note number of shims removed as number of shims changes throttle pressure.
7. Push in plug, then remove throttle modulator valve retaining pin. Remove modulator valve and spring.
8. Push in plug, then remove accumulator control valve retaining pin. Remove control valve and spring.
9. Remove cut-back valve key and plug, then the cut-back valve.
