Assembly
1. Install cut-back valve, small end first, then insert plug and key.
2. Install accumulator control valve and spring, then insert plug, thick end first.
3. Install throttle modulator valve spring and valve, then insert plug, flat end first.
4. Insert kick-down valve into throttle valve sleeve, then the throttle valve, small end first, and spring. Install same number of adjusting shims removed at disassembly, then insert spring.
5. Install kick-down valve with sleeve, then insert retaining pin.
6. Assemble collar to throttle cam, then install spring with hook through hole in cam.
7. Insert throttle cam assembly into upper valve body, then check position of spring ends and tighten bolt Check that throttle cam moves on roller of kick-down valve.
8. Install low coast modulator valve and spring, then insert plug and key.
9. Insert release valve, flat end first, into valve sleeve, then install valve spring. Install relay valve into valve sleeve.
10. Insert lock-up relay valve into upper valve body, then install retaining pin.
11. Insert primary regulator valve plunger, small end first, into plunger sleeve, then the regulator valve into valve sleeve.
12. Insert plunger sleeve to assembly into upper valve body, then the spring, shim and regulator valve assembly. Ensure end of plunger sleeve contacts valve body at same point marked at disassembly. Install retaining pin.
13. Apply a suitable lubricant to manual valve plug, then insert pin and plug.
14. Apply a suitable lubricant to throttle valve retainer, then install throttle valve retainer, six check balls and two strainers.
