Disassembly
DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove thrust washer, then the thrust bearings and races from both sides of clutch, see image.
2. Using a suitable feeler gauge, measure clearance between snap ring and flange. If clearance exceeds 0.0161 -0.0425 inch, replace discs and flange.
3. Remove snap ring from clutch drum, then the flange, discs and plates.
4. Compress piston return springs using tool No. 09350-32011 or equivalent, then remove snap ring.
5. Remove spring retainer, then the 18 springs.
6. Remove piston by applying compressed air to oil passage.
