Assembly

1. Install lock-up relay valve as follows:

a. Insert sleeve into bore.
b. Apply petroleum jelly to retainer, then assemble to end of sleeve.
c. Install control valve, spring and lock-up relay valve into bore in horizontal position.
d. Manually push relay valve until control valve touches end of sleeve.
e. Install plug and retainer.

2. Install cut-back valve, small end first, then the plug and retainer.
3. Install modulator valve spring, valve, then the plug and retainer.
4. Install accumulator control valve and spring, then the plug and retainer.
5. Install low coast modulator valve and spring, then the plug, thick end first, and pin.
6. Install throttle valve, then apply petroleum jelly to retainer and insert into valve body.
7. Install adjusting rings and spring onto throttle valve shaft ensuring same number of rings are installed as were removed. Slip spring over end of valve shaft, then compress and slide into place.
8. Insert spring into throttle valve, then install kickdown valve with sleeve. Apply petroleum jelly to retaining pin, then insert pin to retain sleeve.
9. Install second coast modulator valve and spring, then compress spring to allow retainer to fall into place. Ensure retainer fully covers end of spring.
10. Insert throttle cam sleeve through one side of cam, then install spring with hook through hole in cam. Install cam assembly onto upper valve body, then check position of spring ends and tighten bolt
11. Ensure cam moves on roller of kickdown valve, then insert check ball.
12. Ensure pins and retainer are properly installed.
